Um, What?

Anyone else trying to figure out what the hell happened to November? It was the third, and then I blinked and then suddenly I was two weeks behind on the podcast, Thanksgiving is almost here, and Google is throwing around holiday ads like confetti (I swear, Spottify, if I have to listen to ONE MORE Marshalls commercial–)

The one thing I’m staying on top of is Nanowrimo. I’m hovering right around par, but I’ll take it. This year has led me to invent a new word.

drediting: the act of trying to finish an abandoned or otherwise unfinished manuscript while simultaneously attempting to edit the existing draft.

Editing has never been my favorite part of the writing/publishing process, so this is an extremely apt description of what I’m doing right now.

I do want to go back to the podcast, but between Nanowrimo, my day job (which is going well), and everything else going on, I just have not had time to sit down and put the amount of effort and energy into it to produce a product I’m happy with. It will come back at some point, but it might not be until the new year.

So, I hope you’re progressing well on your novel, that you get a few days off whether or not you celebrate Thanksgiving, and that you stick around. If you’re looking for content, do consider checking out the Eleonora project blog. I’ve been reading in the little free time I have, and have added to the collection of historical facts and background info behind the project. If you’re a history buff, have a look.
