This isn’t a post I though I would ever have to write, especially not so soon after the release of THE SPIDER’S WEB.
My publisher is closing. As of this writing, I am awaiting the full return of rights for my books.
If you wanted to get a copy and haven’t yet, please don’t fret–I will be self publishing the full Evie Cappelli series later this year, I’m just waiting on the paperwork. You guys will be the first to know when the new editions are available.
I’ve known this move was coming for some time. It became pretty obvious when my first royalty check failed to arrive. It’s just been a matter of waiting for the various legal steps to fall into place.
The Bright Side
The good news in all this is that I’m going to have more control over the final product. As much as I loved the work done by Torquere, there were some things that were changed I was unhappy about, and then there’s the Paperback Debate. They made several promises they simply did not follow through on.
Once THE SPIDER’S WEB is back on Amazon, it WILL be available in paperback. No, really.
I am still querying and pitching other books. OFF THE RAILS is waiting in the slush piles of half a dozen agents, and I’ve got critique/beta readers working on two books in my steampunk series.
The Evie books have temporarily been removed from the books tab on the blog. Watch that page for the latest re-release information.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Evie and myself thus far. I can’t express how much the enthusiasm and love has meant. This has been a really hard pill to swallow, but now that we finally have the announcement, I fell like I can move forward and put the messiness of the last few months behind me.
Oh my god! I’m so sorry this has happened to you 😦 But I really glad that you’re getting your rights back and moving forward, I hope it all works out for the best ❤

Really bad news. I know you will succeed with self-publishing.

Thanks. I’m heartbroken, but I’ll be relieved to finally close out that chapter, so to speak.
